How to use parallel tasks in a project. How to assign the same task to multiple members.
This video from GroupCamp shows how to use the parallel parallel task feature in GroupCamp Project.
A task is usually assigned to a single project member. However in every project you often need to give an assignment to a group of people who each need to do the task but in their context. For example you often need a group of sales managers to launch a sales campaign each one in their respective sales territory.
To avoid having to create the same tasks multiple times, GroupCamp has designed parallel tasks. A parallel task allows a project manager to assign the same task to multiple project members and estimate time for each assigned user. These users can then complete their assignment without the global task being completed. They can also record time on their assignment. Each time a parallel assignment is completed the creator of the task can choose to be notified by email.
